Client Profile

Our client is focused on providing Management and Technology Consulting for small-business and Federal government agencies with actionable and creative business IT solution, solving mission critical and complex business challenges. A focused Relationship driven organization, they ensure quality deliverables with established Project Management Business Units.

Business Scenario

Our client had to create a FDA compliant solution for the largest Government Organization of the US dealing with Health and Hygiene that carried out the tests of microbial content in the meat available in the departmental store. They required a Web based solution and a mobile application. Our client faced various challenges and so they hand it over to Cygnet for developing a robust and scalable solution.

Cygnet actively sought a solution that:

  • Managed Workflows and Sample Collectors’ Profile from Different Regions
  • Easy Uploading of Sample’s Data
  • Generated Advanced Reports

Cygnet's Solution

The laboratories of the US conduct annual surveillance of approximately 17,280 retail meat samples from around the country. Participating laboratories collect meat samples locally and isolate bacteria from selected genera before forwarding the sample and associated data to the FDA for further analysis and reporting. Cygnet Infotech analyzed the requirements and adopted a discovery approach and developed a web portal and a mobile application.

Authentication and Authorization of the users of the application was carried out through activation message and mail. The details of the samples collected or assigned offline, lab results and activated new sample collectors were displayed in the activity log. The details of the samples assigned and collected offline, viewed, edited and searched were mentioned by the Sample Collector. The test result of a specific sample was added, updated, viewed and searched by the Lab User and Site Manager.
